Human Biology, Anatomy and Physiology

30 hours

Study of cells, tissues, organs and body system.
Histology, Diseases and Disorders of the Skin

30 hours

Study of skin facts and functions, layers of the skin, nerves, gland and skin health.
Nutrition

10 hours

Study of nutrition recommendations, nutrition for the skin, vitamins and minerals.
Cosmetic Chemistry, Ingredients, and Product Knowledge

30 hours

Study of basic chemistry, cosmetic chemistry, and product safety.
Cleaning, Disinfection and Bacteriology

50 hours

Study of infection control, principles of infection and prevention.
Business Management, Sales, Law Communication and Ethics

40 hours

Study of professional image, conduct, esthetics, human relations, communication basic and client consultation.
Application of Makeup, product Knowledge and Sales

60 hours

Study of facial makeup, color theory, makeup products and formulations.
Electricity and Aesthetics Equipment

50 hours

Study of basic electricity, microdermabrasion, hydrodermabrasion, light theory, and micro-current machines.
Depilation and Waxing, Eyelash and Eyebrow Beautification

60 hours

Study of hair removal, hair growth cycle, characteristics and differences in hair growth.
Clinical Practices, Treatment Procedures and Record Keeping

240 hours

Hands of practice on facial services, waxing, makeup, brow and eyelash tinting and perming.

Students will receive a certificate of completion upon successfully completing 600 hours of the program with a passing grade.

Upon completion of the program the students may obtain a Connecticut State Esthetician License through the State of Connecticut.
